Getting Involved: Forming a Partnership with Sister Cities International

Many organizations partner with Sister Cities International. The Sister Cities International Board of Directors established an official policy about formal partnerships with other organizations. This policy states:
Sister Cities International is authorized to join into strategic partnerships with other organizations to promote sister city interests at both the local and national level, provided that such partnerships do the following:
- Directly benefit the membership of Sister Cities International by improving member services or bringing a value added function to the overall capabilities of Sister Cities International.
- Have a positive or neutral financial impact on Sister Cities International.
- Are within the current capacity of Sister Cities International staff to carry out, according to the guidelines of the individual partnership agreements,
- Are approved by the Sister Cities International Board of Directors.
