50th Anniversary Toolkit

This toolkit was developed in 2005, to help member communities and programs celebrate the 50th anniversary of the sister city movement in 2006. So the fact sheets, logos, and other items in this toolkit wwere designed for use in 2006. However, some of these items offer excellent reference tools, even for events being planned today.

If you are looking for event ideas for your sister city program's anniversary, try the Event Ideas fact sheet. Are you trying to write a news release and looking for an example to follow? See our news release samples. Do you need to honor a special volunteer or elected official? Then look at our sample news releases for the Circle of Distinguished Volunteers, or the Local Government Leadership Circle. These can give you ideas for what would be appropriate to say in your news release.

Are you trying to design a logo for your upcoming sister city program's anniversary, that doesn't get too far away from the logo you are using regularly now? Then check out our logos, for a look at how to create an anniversary logo that doesn't stray too far from an original concept but incorporates an anniversary element.
