Duties & Responsibilities
The IT Manager will be the lead staff person and oversee all technical, database and office systems as well as all related programs with the organization. This position is the staff team leader in conversion from a proprietary database to the iMIS association management system.
The IT Manager maintains and plans for file and email server additions, deletions and major modifications and supporting infrastructure. Oversees the implementation of network security, trains staff on operating procedures, policies and transition plans and anticipates future network needs while identifying proactive and cost-effective solutions for the organization.
The perfect candidate will be able to communicate relevant IT-related information to superiors and staff and can easily assist with the organization's management of member help desk activities as well as resolve member queries and issues.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or advanced training or three-to-five years of related work experience with database and computer systems
- Demonstrated outstanding technological and communications skills are required
- Experience working for an association or international nonprofit
- Web content management experience, knowledge of HTML preferred
- Ability to manage schedules and related vendor relations
- Organization and leadership skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office software, media databases, executive presentation software
- Experience with iMIS association management system
- Knowledge of a foreign language is desired.
- Experience with international organizations and travel a plus
